Today in Clash Royale we'll have Ian from Midwinter on to talk about 2.8 Hog cycle. This triple spell Hog cycle deck has been taking the game by storm with a 71% win rate. It's a PERFECT deck for the upcoming Global Tournament and once you have your new Earthquake spells leveled up it will work wonders on ladder. We'll cover strategy tips for the deck as Ian tries to complete two 12 win Grand Challenges live. Enjoy!

---Starting Plays:
My starting plays from best to worst: hog, split archers in the back, split skeletons in the back, barb barrel at the bridge, and ice golem in the back.
---Why Ian Loves the Deck
reason I love this hog deck is because it can easily beat miner poison and inferno tower decks that most hog decks can not beat. Vs miner poison you will go opposite lane if they have Prince and if they don't it doesn't matter which lane. Basically I will just play passively until I have a 3 elixer or more elixer advantage and then I will ice golem hog at the bridge and earthquake snowball the inferno tower. If my ice golem gets a hit on the inferno tower than I don't use snowball because the hog can take it out in 2 hits
--- MATCHUPS
Vs miner loon
Inferno tower rascals I go opposite lane and I just make sure to save my snowball as much as possible and I just defend, get a couple elixer advantage and then go with hog ice golem earthquake and snowball if my ice golem doesn't hot the inferno tower. I make sure to catch the miners as best as possible too
Vs golem
I go opposite lane. I just cycle hogs at the start and try to get elixer advantges and when they golem I go ice golem hog opposite lane. If they have lightning and don't have a reset card like zap e wiz e drag or zappies in hand sometimes I will go with a high inferno tower at the bridge. If they don't I will just go with the inferno tower in the normal spot.
Vs royal giant
I try to make positive elixer trades( with this deck that should be the main goal most of the time). I will attack with hog rider if they rg in the back or if they don't have furnace in hand. If they don't play their furnace at all I will just wait until I have an elixer advantage and go with ice golem hog and earthquake. Sometimes I will inferno tower high if they have lightning but no reset in hand
Vs pekka
I go opposite lane and I just cycle hogs and defend well, I always try to save my inferno tower in case I am in dire need for one. If they ram rider at the bridge sometimes I will just snowball and archers it instead of inferno tower. Also in double elixer if I have an elixer advantage I will go with ice golem hog and when they pekka or e wiz I will go with earthquake because it allows the hog to get an extra hit or two
vs royal hogs
I make sure to always save my inferno tower for the hogs and try to also save barb barrel for them. I will just cycle lone hogs and if I know they will barbs and I have an elixer or two advantage I will snowball. I always make sure to never let their value units such as flying machine and magic archer to stack up. I ice golem archers the flying machine.
