I'm contacting you about an excellent career opportunity for an Automotive OEM Sales Rep. in Detroit. The company I'm working with is a manufacturer of OEM materials for Automotive, OEM, Tier Suppliers, and Industrial Manufacturers.
The company has excellent manufacturing capabilities in Michigan where they make:
• injection molded materials
• converted adhesive tapes
• fasteners
• hooks
• rubber based products
This role has massive upside, and the territory hasn’t been full developed yet. The majority of the 3.9MM in Sales in Detroit is with customers in the Automotive, OEM, and Tier markets.
The job would be responsible for:
• Maintaining customer satisfaction and increase market share within territory
• Prospect, negotiate, and close sales
• Seek and nurture direct sales and customer relationships
• Generate new business and manage sales of assigned territory to drive revenue
• Communicate and document all information to internal team members
• Work with manufacturers and distributors to develop and manage markets and territories
• Work with Sales Manager to create territory sales plan and provide monthly plan status updates
The position requires:
• Minimum of Associates Degree or above required, with a focus in a business-related field preferred
• 3-10 years of experience in outside sales, or 3-5 years of B2B inside sales combined with a minimum of one year in outside sales
• Experience selling to automotive, heavy machinery, industrial manufacturing or other related industry preferred
• Experience using a CRM, preferably Salesforce
• Ability to work from home office (1-3 days per week) and travel to clients (65% of time)
The position offers:
• Base $70-80k (no higher)
• Uncapped 3% commission on all wins (both estimated at above $25k first year, should absolutely hit 6 figures)
• Car allowance of $560 monthly
• Technology provided (iPhone, laptop, printer if needed)
• Bonus opportunity of 3% salary, based on total company sales goal
• Benefits including health, vision and dental insurance, 401k, and paid vacation (3 weeks PTO)
