Andre’s career began in financial services in the real-time information culture of Wall Street where quotes and prices were delivered instantly, long before the internet. His career then shifted to media – specifically newswires, and cable television programming. After rising to vice president of marketing and sales for Reuters Television, which was just getting its start, he left corporate America to create his own company. He then parlayed his corporate experience and sales talent into solving a big problem in the sports industry, which was managing and transporting game video across the country so that coaches could prepare for upcoming games.
When Interactive Sports presided over the cross-country distribution of game video between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots in the 1990s it became the first company to accomplish this feat.
Using the content model, he learned from financial and media services, André and his partners built a pioneering company, that not only was the first to stream video for sports teams, but built a premier news operation in the business of sports to satisfy the fan’s insatiable desire for the latest. Because of the company’s depth of relationship building, media savvy, and original reporting, it became the go-to company for ambitious sports applications such as fueling content for today’s high-tech sports arenas, archival databases running underneath branded Web sites, targeted web properties for specific fan demographics, and mobile applications providing news to business travelers.
In 2001, André began focusing on leadership development and management consulting work sharing his unique perspective with other businesses on sales, marketing, business development, entrepreneurial leadership, innovation, and competitiveness.
