Flying-fox initial care: this is Chester (part 2)

Flying-fox initial care: this is Chester (part 2) Chester is an adult male Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who was found on the ground beside a busy road.
He had obviously hit his head and he was definitely a Cranky Frankie for a while. Immediate care consists of analgesia, fluids, basic assessment when the bat has settled down.

He will spend some time in hospital care, then aviary care, and then hopefully to release. I can see he's got an issue with one of his eyes - he appears to have bleeding into the anterior chamber. This will require vet assessment and treatment.

I have hopes for his continued improvement and eventual release.
