As Goan taxi Operators have decided to stay off for the 2nd day, it is caused a lot of inconvenience to the tourist in the state. The Taxi operators have demanded that the app based taxi services GoaMiles be scraped.
Speaking to media, GoaMiles operational manager has stated that with Goan taxi drivers off road, GoaMiles business has drastically picked up.
He has informed that around 48 Goan Taxi drivers have approached to join GoaMiles.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in a tweet has stated that Goa’s state administration is equipped to handle matters concerning the tourism industry.
CM Sawant has welcomed tourists both domestic and international stating that there is adequate Intra-State transport arrangements.
Meanwhile, Porvorim Police have arrested Taxi Union leader Bappa Kogaonkar for allegedly threatening a GoaMiles taxi drive. He was later on let out on bail
