Grenfell Tower Fire Combustible Plastic PIR Foam Study

So what would cause a chunk of insulation that normally would self extinguish to burn on its own like its soaked in enriched fuel....? obviously the material has changed. aluminum has to be playing a role. and what about the residue on the foam that makes those weird circular patterns visible after 2 weeks of weathering?
