Huckleberry Finn completes the Cash Odyssey trilogy from Ainsworth with the other titles being Gulliver's Travels and Robinson Crusoe and I love them all. The base game is a lines-based game where you win by landing winning payline combinations - wilds are stacked to help. There are two special features in the game which is where the real fun begins: the Cash Odyssey Feature and the Free Games Feature.
The Cash Odyssey Feature is triggered by landing either a Cash Odyssey or Cash Odyssey Jackpot symbol on both reels 2 and 4. On these reels, the center positions are outlined in red and the top and bottom positions are outlined in blue. Depending on where you land these symbols determines how the Cash Odyssey Feature is activated:
Both Symbols in Red borders: The whole screen is transformed into Cash Odyssey Bonus symbols.
Both Symbols in Blue Borders: Reels 2 and 4 are Transformed into Cash Odyssey Bonus symbols.
One Symbol in the Red Border and One in the Blue Border: 4 Reels are transformed into Cash Odyssey Bonus symbols, depending on which side you landed the symbol in the red border.
The amount within these bonus symbols is determined by the symbol they were transformed from where the more rare the symbol, the higher the award you receive!
Progressives or Bonus Prizes are awarded if you can land Cash Odyssey Jackpot symbols in reels 2 and 4: if you land them both in red-bordered reel positions you will be awarded the Grand or Major Progressive, depending on whether you also land the special Gold Globe symbol in reel 3 in addition. Mini or Minor Bonus Awards will be awarded if both or one of the Cash Odyssey Jackpot symbols lands in the blue-bordered reel positions.
The Free Games Feature is triggered by landing 3 or more bonus symbols for 8 free games with retriggers possible for 5 additional spins by landing just 2 additional bonus symbols. During the bonus, anytime a Cash Odyssey or Cash Odyssey Jackpot symbol lands in just reel 2 or reel 4, the Respin feature is triggered where the reel that landed the special Cash Odyssey symbol is held and all other reels respin giving you a shot to trigger the Cash Odyssey feature or score a Progressive!
