Wayanad (Kerala), Aug 09 : A massive landslide occurred in Kerala’s Wayanad on August 08, 2019. The incident took place in Puthumala village of Wayanad. Operations suspended at the Cochin International Airport till August 11, 2019 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, the incessant rains led to flood-situation in Kerala’s Nilambur. The entire area is inundated with hundreds of houses and shops being submerged. As per the information of Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KDSMA), around 22,165 people have been evacuated to safe places and lodged in 315 camps across the state.
