Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam has promised to start a government dialogue platform, as well as a police watchdog task force to handle complaints. Mr Andrew Shuen, research director at the Lion Rock Institute, gave his views on Mrs Lam's "olive branch", and whether this could signal a shift in the relationship of distrust between the Hong Kong government and its people.
