Selective Mutism: Frequently Asked Questions

Selective Mutism: Frequently Asked Questions As an advocate for the childhood social anxiety disorder, selective mutism, I get a lot of emails from parents of children who have been diagnosed with the disorder as well as people interested in it, and in the emails, they ask me various questions about it. Since I also suffered from the disorder myself, I decided to make this video to share some of my experiences and give answers to some of the most frequently asked questions I get. I hope it helps anyone who needs it. Please visit the Selective Mutism Association website at www.selectivemutism.org for more information. Thanks for watching! *Note: I filmed this video in various clips throughout the course of a day so please don't mind the differences in the lighting, background angles, and overall quality!
