Belgium's Hasselt University researchers have found air pollution particles on the foetal side of the placenta, confirming that black carbon inhaled by mothers can cross into unborn children. The study comprised 28 placentas from non-smoking women in the town of Hasselt. The particle pollution levels were below the EU limit but above the WHO limit. #sutathu,#airpollutants,#unbornbabiesplacentas,#science
