Level Crossing In Karachi | Fareed Express Passes Swiftly with GEU-20 | Pakistan Railways

Wireless Gate is one of the busiest level crossing in Karachi. It is situated in Shah Faisal Town / Malir and common for commuters from nearby areas like Shamsi society, Rafah-e-Aam, Alfalah, Golden Town etc. Since my childhood I am seeing this level crossing almost daily because my school was on other side of tracks and my home was on other. Each day my school van encountered with this level crossing. And despite lots of traffic flow, I hardly see traffic jam as gate only closed for perfect amount of time when train was near.

Anyway, in this video, I was going to Malir station for some railfanning and then I encountered Fareed Express (38 DN) with GEU-20 Locomotive early morning at this level crossing. Unfortunately I could not capture the gate closing as the warning bell kept on ringing and I thought it was just a false alarm. The gate closed as soon as I turned off the video. Here I would like to mention that Fareed Express is the only train which goes from Karachi to Lahore via Pakpattan, Kasur. Hence the name, Fareed, because of Hazrat Baba Fareed Ganj Shakar, a famous sufi saint from Pakpattan.
