In this video, you'll learn how to create your own style guide, the secret weapon for designing a website you'll love on your first try. A style guide consists of 4 parts:
- Your brand’s attributes or vibes
- The color palette
- A mood board of inspiration images
- A preview demonstrating how you'll combine different elements together in ways you'd actually use on your website.
Taking the time to do this first before tackling a redesign is a huge time saver. I know because this is how I was able to finish a redesign in a few weeks after cycling through “Coming Soon” pages and a website that I low-key hated for almost 2 years.
