Don't worry. It is normal!
Ah, Romance! Falling in love is nature's most fabulous high!
Just by thinking about your partner, you get your face flushed and feel those butterflies in your stomach.
It's partially about the chemicals in your brain that signal that you have a potential mate in front of you to procreate healthy offsprings.
Neuroscientists tell us that it's only meant to last for a few years, after which we lose those chemicals called monoamines that give us euphoria and start to see reality as it is. A lot of us don't like it because we want to continue to ride on that delicious high. And at this stage, couples often break up. "He showed his true colors" or "She turned out to be a bitch like every other woman," or something less dramatic than that where people lose interest in their partner because they discover that they don't have anything in common any longer.
However, if couples chose to go on, in a few years, they develope a strong bond driven by other chemicals in the brain called nonapeptide - nature's way of keeping us together to take care of our kids until they are all grown up.
They can become so intimate that they start reading each other thoughts.
It feels incredible and beautiful; only you don't desire each other anymore.
And Victoria Secret outfits plus various toys don't seem to be helping at all!
A lot of couples go through this, and so I made this video to share 4 GREAT HABITS to adopt to raise your awareness and reignite that flame so you can bring the romance back into your relationship.
