Julia Hartley-Brewer tells Chuka Umunna: 'Jo Swinson is not going to be Prime Minister'

Julia Hartley-Brewer tells Chuka Umunna: 'Jo Swinson is not going to be Prime Minister' Liberal Democrats have told talkRADIO plans to exclude their party leader from a TV debate are sexist and break the law.

Jo Swinson has not been invited to take part in the first televised leaders debate of the election - even though former leader Nick Clegg was.

The party's Chukka Umunna has been telling Julia on talkRADIO it must be changed.

"We'll still be talking about Brexit in five years, regardless of what happens...You need a resolution of the whole issue. What we're proposing will actually resolve that issue... We stand for more than just stopping Brexit."

"If you've got two leaders who do not want to stop Brexit in a debate where we know at least a third of the nation wants to abandon Brexit altogether then clearly what they are doing is unlawful."
