Capture One does not provide a means to sync catalog-based adjustments or changes to metadata, ratings or labels to a session. If you ingest images directly into a catalog via import or tethering, there also is no direct way within Capture One to create a session from a set of images in a catalog.
This video demonstrates how to use Export Original and the Capture One EIP file format to duplicate images in a catalog out to a Session » Capture folder and unpack the EIP files as a means of moving the images from a catalog to a session. This is not a synchronization process. This is a duplication process, but it does enable you to get images out of a catalog and into a session.
For those who are migrating from other catalog-based tools into Capture One but want to ultimately move your images into a session, this video demonstrates that. See one of my other videos for migration Aperture Libraries or Lightroom Catalogs into Capture One Catalogs. Then use this process for moving those images from a catalog into a session.
On this channel I demonstrate why I love Capture One for editing raw files. Some videos highlight specific tools and others will compare Capture One to other raw editors to illustrate why I now use Capture One after having use these other tools for over a decade.
