Adherence, the key to unlocking viral suppression

Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) is saving lives in Namibia by testing, counselling and caring for people living with HIV/AIDS. DAPP Namibia Total Epidemic Control (TCE) project focused on having TCE Field Officers going door-to-door in a systematic way reaching families and individuals with information and linkage to health services, mobilizing each person to take responsibility for his or her health in relation to HIV/AIDS and TB.

The DAPP TCEs further supports people on
treatment to adhere to the treatment for life by forming TRIOs
of support and to graduate into
Community Adherence Groups
(CAGs) where members take turns
to pick up the ARVs at the health
facilities and support each other in
different ways.
