KEEPING AN EYE ON DORIAN | The latest look at Hurricane Dorian's track and current watches and warnings as it barrels through the northwestern Bahamas. Hurricane Dorian remains at catastrophic Category 5 hurricane with 185 mph winds and gusts to 225 mph. The storm surge is now up to 23 feet! Remember, most casualties during tropical cyclones occur due to storm surge which will be catastrophic over populated areas in the Bahamas.
In Florida, a Storm Surge Warning has been issued from Lantana to the Volusia/Brevard County Line. There's also a Hurricane Warning from Jupiter Inlet to the Volusia/Brevard County Line.
The storm is about 175 miles east of West Palm, Florida. There's still plenty of time for the forecast to change. Dorian's actual intensity could be different, and its path could shift. But, now is the time to be prepared.
