The Stockman Tiny House is close to Yellowstone Park (30 min) with unbelievable views, hot springs, hiking, fishing, and more, all nearby. You’ll love the outdoors space, landscape, and views. You'll be amazed at the star gazing and wildlife viewing. Get away from it all and reconnect in this creative space. Perfect for couples, friends, solo adventurers, and business travelers. A truly unforgettable place.
The space
A custom made tiny house built on the back of an old stock truck. A fun, creative, and unique space you won't find anywhere else. Comfortable beds and windows in all directions. Silence and solitude yet the comings and goings of a working ranch.
Stars, mountains, fields and "Big Sky" all around you.
Small kitchen with two stove-top burners, small fridge, and sink. Pots and pans and all you need to make a simple, camping style meals but in the comforts of a small kitchen. One comfortable queen bed on main level and one twin bed in loft. Loft is mainly for children or average sized humans.
Please note: This is a PARK AND WALK to rental. If you're not comfortable walking to the rental (about a 2-5 minute walk), then it's probably not a good fit for your travel experience.
We have dogs who are all nice but are not allowed in the tiny homes. Aggie, our large white Great Pyrenees, takes her job seriously as a guard dog against large carnivores and adores humans. Occasionally she’ll bark in the evenings but then comes inside for the night. She’ll almost always come to say hello and to get a good scratch.
Prior camping experience preferred but not required. Thanks!
Guest access
You will park at our ranch headquarters and walk an easy 3-5 minutes on trail to tiny house. You have access to yard around tiny house and trail to and from your vehicle. No hiking on the ranch. Ask us and we're more than happy to point you in the direction of some great hiking trails. Again, please arrive before dark! We live in dense grizzly bear country and you have to walk down the trail to the tiny house. If you cannot arrive before dark, please book another location.
Other things to note
We live in dense grizzly bear country. Be smart and know how to use bear spray . There is a bear spray located in the tiny house as well for your stay. Please do not take it when you leave. Use common sense when walking around and ARRIVE BEFORE DARK.
Our clean (yet camping style!) bathhouse is located just steps from Stockman and is used by both rentals for the shower portion. Not to worry, there is a lock on the door and no windows so it’s very private. The other tiny house rental has its own personal toilet and simple shower, so occasionally those guests may want a hot shower. Cleaned twice a day and comfortable, we hope you'll enjoy it.
Folks, we live on a ranch. If you're expecting a sterile and immaculate space, this might not be the space for you. We take pride in the work we do and the experience we share with our guests. We do the best we can with the time we have to make our homes clean, tidy, and comfortable. If you're not ok with the occasional fly or insect or other nature-like things that may come up from time to time, this probably isn't the place for you. That said- our rentals are loved by almost everyone who comes and we've had many repeat guests.
